Fair Books Distributed May 1, 2025 Fair Books will be distributed to club leaders

MT 4-H Congress Registration May 1, 2025 Registration will begin for MT 4-H Pre Congress and Congress on May 1 and close June 15, 2025. Registration will be through your ZSuite account under the Events tab.
4-H Council Mtg May 7, 2025 4-H Council Meetings are open to all who would like to attend.  Meetings are held in the Ext. Office at 6pm.
JR Camp Reg. Closes May 9, 2025 Registration for JR Camp closes May 9, 2025. Register on your ZSuite account.
Curt Pate Horse Clinic May 10, 2025 The Curt Pate Horse Clinic will be held in Lewistown on May 10.  Please call the Fergus Ext. Office 535-3919 to register.
Senior Camp Registration closes May 12 Senior Camp Registration closes. Register in ZSuite.  After registering there will be two forms to print and mail to the Fergus Ext. Office or our office.  Please include a check for $60 payable to Fergus / Petroleum Co. 4-H.
Sheep Clinic May 17 A sheep clinic will be held in Lewistown on 5/17. The clinic runs from 9:30-12:30 and lunch is provided. 
Sheep / Goat weigh-in and tagging May 18, 2025 Sheep / Goat tag and weigh-ins will begin at 1:00 pm at the fairgrounds.  A meeting and practice will follow.  
Fair Board Mtg May 19 Fair Board meetings begins at 5:30pm at the Extension Office.
SR. Camp Registration Closes May 28 Senior Camp Registration closes. Register in ZSuite.  After registering there will be two forms to print and mail to the Fergus Ext. Office or our office.  Please include a check for $60 payable to Fergus / Petroleum Co. 4-H.
Horse Clinic with Chris Brown May 31 - June 1 A horse clinic with Chris Brown will be held in Lewistown on May 31 and June 1.  Please call the Fergus Ext to register 535-3919

June 2025

Jan French Scholarship Closes June 1, 2025

Applications for the Jan French Memorial Scholarship will be accepted until June 1, 2025.  The application consists of a 1-2 pg essay detailing how 4-H has impacted you, how 4-H has prepared you forlife after high school and what your plans are afer graduating.  Winners will be announced at fair.

Colt R Memorial 4-H Project Scholarship Due June 1, 2025

Applications are due June 1, 2025 to the Fergus Ext Office.  This is a project scholarship that can be used towards anything related to your 4-H project. 

Qualifications:

  • Must be a 4th year 4-H member or older
  • Enrolled in a small or large animal project
  • Must be able to write without parental instruction
4-H Horse Forms Due June 1, 2025 All required Horse Project forms must be received by the Extension Office no later than June 1.
Junior Camp June 3-6, 2025 JR Camp will be June 3-6, 2025 at Camp Rotary near Monarch. Registration on ZSuite is open April 7 - May 9, 2025.  Counselors will report to camp on June 2. 
Senior Camp June 9 - 13, 2025 Paradise Valley - Mountain Sky Guest Ranch. Senior Camp will include a ropes course, outdoor games, fishing, Yellowstone NP, swimming, constellations, cooking and much more! Registration is open from March 1 - May 30th.
Project Drop/Add Deadline June 1, 2025 The deadline for project drop / add in ZSuite is June 1.  This is a hard date.  You must complete a record book for ALL the projects you are enrolled in after June 1, 2025.  No changes will be allowed in ZSuite after June 1.
MT 4-H Pre Congress and Congress Reg closes June 15, 2025 Registration for MT 4-H Pre Congress and Congress closes June 15.  Registration link is on your ZSuite account under Events.
JB Co. Fair Entry closes June 23, 2025 Fair entry closes for the JB Co. Fair on June 23, 2025. Late entries will be accepted through June 30th with a $25 late fee/per person.  Late entries must be completed at the Ext. Office.

MT 4-H Pre Congress July 6-8, 2025 MT 4-H Pre Congress is held prior to Congress in Bozeman. Pre-Congress is open to all 4-H members who are 14+ by 10/1/24.
MT 4-H Congress July 8-11, 2025 MT 4-H Congress in Bozeman.  4-H Congress is open to all 4-H members who are 14+ by 10/1/24.
4-H Council Mtg July 16, 2025 7pm 4-H Council Meetings are open to all who would like to attend. Meetings are held at the Extension Office.
JB Co. Fair Week July 28 - Aug 1, 2025 2025 JB Co. Fair Begins July 28, 2025. There are significant changes to the fair schedule for 2025.  Visit the fair page for the fair schedule and other important dates.

JB Co. Fair LIVESTOCK SALE Friday August 1, 2025 The Livestock Sale is being held on Friday rather than Saturday this year.  Sale begins at 6pm with a buyers dinner and social hour at 5.

Tween Camp August 7-10, 2025 Tween camp will be held near West Glacier, MT.  This year camp will include Glacier NP, hiking, cherry picking, a trip to Kalispell, swimming, crafts, games and much more!
Livestock Sale Checks distributed Date TBD Livestock Sale Checks will be released in late August.

Record Books Due to Club Leaders September 1, 2025 Record Books must be received by your Club Leaders no later than September 1, 2025.  This is a hard date and a record book must be turned in for all the projects you are enrolled in.  (The project drop/add deadline is June 1 in ZSuite)
Record Book Judging Date TBD Record Books received by club leaders on or before Sept. 1, 2025 will be reviewed and judged for record book awards. 
MT 4-H Working Ranch Horse Competition Sept 12 - 14, 2025 The MT 4-H Working Ranch Horse Competition will be held at the 406 Arena in Vaughn.
MT 4-H Horse Show Sept 26-28, 2025 The MT 4-H Horse Show will be at the 406 Arena in Vaughn.
