Stratocore PPMS (Pasteur Platform Management System) is a centralized, web-based platform that will be available to all users of MSU core facilities starting Spring 2026 to support efficient use and management of our facilities.
Designed as a one-stop-shop solution to streamline workflows, PPMS provides researchers and administrators with a unified system for accessing services, managing equipment, and coordinating financial operations. You can learn more about Stratocore here.

Implementation & Timeline
You can expect PPMS to be implemented in the following core facilities through a phased rollout:

- Montana Microfabrication Facility (MMF)

Frequently Asked Questions
All users of applicable MSU core facilities, including internal users, external academic, government, non-profit, and commercial users.
You will easily be able to request a new account within the PPMS system. You can also join your lab group when you create your user account.
To create a lab group: A MSU PI or their designee must complete the PPMS Group Setup Form to establish a lab group in the system. A confirmation email with additional information will be sent once the group is created by MSU core facility administrators. Creation of a new lab group can take 1-2 business days.
To edit a lab group: If you need to change any details of your lab group (member information, group manager, index, etc.), please email stratocore@montana.edu
You can select your lab group in a drop down within your New User Request Form. If you do not see your group, please have your PI submit a PPMS Group Setup Form.
Yes. Most core facility equipment requires training for self-service use and rates. You can book your training session in PPMS.
Billing will be streamlined through an integration with Ellucian Banner.
Yes, you can associate bookings and services with specific projects and publications.
Yes. Please try the user guides first, or contacting the facility manager. Additional support needs can be requested through stratocore@montana.edu
At this time, the Animal Resources Center (ARC), Geospatial Core Facility (GCF), Research Cyberinfrastrucure (RCI), and Social Data Collection & Analysis Services (SDCAS) facilities will not be implementing Stratocore PPMS.
