As capacity allows any student with instructor permission may use Testing Services if you feel it could support the student’s success or save you time.

How we help

Examples of why a student without disability accommodations might complete a course exam in the test center instead of in the classroom include:

  • Student needs to test early or make-up an exam due to an approved absence, personal emergency or illness
  • Student has test anxiety or other learning challenge but not formal accommodations through disability services
  • Student encountered healthcare or other barriers qualifying for formal accommodations
  • Instructor has concerns about academic integrity that testing away from classmates could mitigate
  • Student uses English as a foreign language and may be allowed specific resources, like a translation dictionary, or extended time not available to all students
  • Referral or recommendation from another support office (e.g., AYCSS, CCR, athletics)

How to access services

Testing Services does not charge fees to students or departments for administration of our campus’s class exams. If you think it might be helpful to use Testing Services in circumstances like these, the instructor should contact the test center as they identify the student(s):

  • Call: (406)994-6967
  • Drop by 19 Renne Library

NOTE: For most accurate and timely services, faculty should initiate this process before referring students to the test center.
