An outstanding member/cloverbud must have 4-H related achievements that measure ABOVE AND BEYOND other members.  Please provide four reason specific examples why the member is outstanding in the 4-H award area. Be specific, creative and detailed in the outstanding accomplishments of the member.

Anyone can nominate a member. You may only nominate a 4-H’er in two areas, however there is not a limit to the number of members you may nominate.

Samples of Award Areas: any 4-H project area, achievement, leadership,attitude, helpfulness, involvement, citizenship, community service, team player, club officer, public speaking, committee member/chair, design your own 4-H related award area.

Outstanding Member Process

  • Nominees will receive an email containing a link where they formally accept the nomination(s) and select a date to attend an award discussion group that works best for their schedule. You will attend discussion groups on the date you select. Put that date on your calendar! Nominees (except Cloverbuds) must have earned a gold seal on their record book to accept the nomination(s).
  • Nominees accepting the nomination(s) are required to participate in award area discussion groups with other members to share their accomplishments. Discussion groups are led by an adult moderator.
  • Discussion group schedules will be emailed to the members ZSuite household email, midweek the week of November 2. 
  • Members are required to bring their completed gold seal record book and record book completion form to their assigned award discussion group. Members are encouraged to bring - pictures, projects, resources they used, or other items that provide information about their award area.
