Important AnnouncementsMessage from the DeanHello MSU Graduate Students! Happy New Year! We are starting the new year off with a bang as we celebrate the MSU Bobcat football team’s win over Illinois State for the national championship! If you had a chance to watch that barnburner of a game, you are probably like me in feeling that we need a day or two to recuperate from the stress! Some of our graduate students are in the Spirit of the West Marching Band, and I was so proud of the band for their performance at the game. Bravo to the team and the band members! We are ready to start the spring semester, and I want to be sure you know that we have a well-stocked snack pantry in the Graduate School office in 104 Montana Hall. We in the office like to greet graduate students and offer a snack, so stop by! Lots of opportunities for graduate student-oriented events are coming along this semester, so we look forward to serving you this Spring 2026! Deborah Haynes, Ph.D. Spring Graduate Professional Development SeriesThis series is offered by The Extreme Biofilms National Research Traineeship (NRT) Program and The Graduate School. Attend two NRT-hosted workshops and apply for up to a $1,500 Seed Grant. Use the funds to attend a conference, participate in a technical workshop, or pursue emerging research.
