Opportunities from the Western Regional Noyce Network (WRNN)
Noyce recipients in WRNN states have access to high-quality professional development programs tailored to support their growth as STEM educators. These opportunities, fully funded for participants, cover a range of topics from AI integration to STEM language support, hands-on software training, and computer science authorization. Many programs also provide stipends. Explore the options below to find the best fit for your professional development needs.
- The WRNN Math - Noyce Networking Event (Virtual, April 2-5, 2025) offers Noyce Scholar math teachers networking, collaboration, and professional development alongside the NCTM Virtual Conference. Participants attend sessions, share insights, and receive a $200 stipend. Register by March 15.

- Integrating Next Generation Computing in Any Discipline (Virtual, April 5–12, 2025): Learn how AI and computing can enhance classroom learning in any subject.
- GeoGebra Summer Institute (CSU Northridge, Los Angeles, CA, June 9–13, 2025): Gain expertise in using GeoGebra to teach algebra and geometry more effectively.
- Computer Science Supplementary Authorization (Virtual, June 17–December 11, 2025): Earn an authorization to teach K-12 computer science through an intensive course series.
- More Support for STEM Language (MSSL) Workshop (Forest Grove, OR, July 27–31, 2025): Address barriers in STEM language to make STEM education more inclusive.
- STAR Program (Paid Summer Research for Future Educators): Engage in immersive research experiences designed for aspiring STEM teachers.
- Modeling Workshop (Chemistry, Physics, Biology) (Cal Poly, June 23–July 3, 2025): Strengthen instructional strategies through hands-on modeling techniques in science education.
