US 101US: First-Year Seminar

US 101US is a small, discussion-based course designed specifically for first-year students. You'll build the skills, confidence, and connections that help students thrive in college while fulfilling your University Seminar (US) Core requirement.
In US 101US, you'll:

Why are University Seminar (US) Core Courses required?
University Seminar courses are designed to help students make a successful transition to college while building the skills needed for academic, professional, and personal success.
Most US courses:
✔ Are designed primarily for first-year students
✔ Feature small, discussion-based classes
✔ Emphasize writing, speaking, and critical thinking
✔ Encourage meaningful interaction with faculty and peers
✔ Explore engaging topics from a variety of disciplines
